The Roman Wall also known as Hadrian's Wall is located near the border between modern-day Scotland and England. It runs in an east-west direction, from Wallsend by the River Tyne in the east, traveling about 73 miles west to Bowness-on-Solway on Solway Firth. I have visited the Roman Wall many times including the forts, milecastles, turrets and museums and taken many photographs along the way. I have started this site in the east visiting the most interesting and accessible places in order along the wall. |
